Will the soon-to-be omitted features of Notebooks be coming back?

The latest news posting on the Notebooks web site has announced that several features from Notebooks version 2.7 will be removed in Notebooks 3.0, and that several features in 3.0 will have to be removed so that the new version can gain approval from Apple. Unfortunately for me, the features that will not be present in version 3.0 -- lists, embedded images, embedded links and HTML formatting -- are the features that would be most useful to me. What are the chances that these features will be re-introduced in later incarnations of Notebooks? And, if they are going to come back, how far down the road do you think it will be?

 These are questions for which we do not have any clear answers yet, I am sorry.


The situation currently looks like this: we could either put a LOT of effort into reinventing a wheel which we know is already there (but we are not allowed to use), or we try to do everything we can to influence the decision makers at Apple to allow us to use the wheel. None of the options promises to yield short term success, I am afraid.


Still, we are working on it  ;-)
