Recovering entire Notebooks content without back up?

Amy Mathilde, October 15, 2011 13:31

I connected my notebooks app to my iTunes and had two copies of the entire app so went to delete one but delete both so now all the entire books within notebooks on my iPhone have been deleted. I was in the middle of backing it up via iTunes sync so I don't have any backup. Is there anyway of recovering all my Notebooks content??

Hi Amy,

I am sorry to hear about what happened! You may be able to recover the contents of Notebooks, but it depends on which iTunes backups you still have. Here is what you can do:

- Download one of the iPhone Backup Extractors from
http://supercrazyawesome.com/ or
http://www.iphonebackupextractor.com/
http://www.icopybot.com/itunes-backup-manager.htm
- Launch Backup Extractor, scan for iTunes backups and choose the latest one.
- From the list of application that appears, choose Notebooks and extract its contents to a folder.

This folder contains the contents of Notebooks at the time of that backup. If you don't see any documents, then iTunes seems to have overwritten your last full backup. You can then try to extract another backup (in case the backup extractor lists more than one). If that still does not recover your documents, and if you made regular backups of your computer, you might try to look at any of the older iTunes backups.

If all that does not restore your documents then I am afraid we are out of luck :-(

Best,
Alfons
