Trouble adding text selection as new task in Inbox

DC, September 27, 2011 13:01

I'm having trouble following the instructions (below) to add a new task to Inbox from a text selection. I have a book named Inbox at the top level. When I'm in a normal note (not a task list), I select a line of text which I want to add to the Inbox as a task, but the action icon is not available as the lower half of the screen is taken up by the onscreen keyboard. If I press the lower right keyboard button to hide the keyboard and show the menu bar which includes the action icon, the text is unselected so I can't add it as a task. Am I doing something wrong here?

Instructions: "If you have a book/task list named "Inbox" at the top level of Notebooks, you can now add text selections as new documents/tasks to that book through the action "New Task in Inbox"."

If you have clickable links enabled in Notebooks, you can select text without the keyboard popping up and the action button remains visible. While typing, however, it is not possible to add a task to the Inbox on the iPhone.
