I have just downloaded the most recent update and notice the pen at the top of the screen has disappeared. I though it was a useful tool what has happened to it?

Hi,
that pen has caused a lot for controversial feedback, and the majority of users did not like it too much, because it was difficult to tap. It did not fit the UI very well, either, and we decided to remove it. Now the recommended way of editing a note is:
- Tap once for plain text with "clickable links" disabled
- Tap twice for plain text and links enabled
- Tap three times for formatted documents
