Notebooks for iPhone Answers

RTF Support

I use scrivener and Notebooks however I have found that Notebooks messes with my page layouts. I figured that since it says Notebooks supports .rtf files than that means I can just sync using those instead of .txt. Unfortunately I found that Notebooks only views .rtf making it pointless, thus any continued syncing continues to mess with my pages. Could you offer full .rtf support and treat it like normal pages? It would be nice to have the normal coloured background and not a white one, while not losing any of my page formatting when syncing.
Thankies

Hi,

the lack or full RTF support is a general shortcoming of the iOS and we all hope that future iOS updates will address that.

In the meantime, when you sync Notebooks with Scrivener it is recommended to set Scrivener to sync its documents as txt only. Scrivener is so smart that it remembers your RTF formatting, and when you make changes in Notebooks and sync them back to Scrivener, it will reapply the format. This is how many users successfully work with this combination.
You find more details on the Scrivener website.

Best,
Alfons
