Copying formatted documents

Mateus Terra, July 30, 2011 19:10

Hi,
I've been trying to copyright formatted documents (with bold, underline, centering, etc) for further editing, with no luck.
I can only copy plain text to a note, or make a new document, that I'm unable to edit, with the contents of my pasteboard.
Is there any way around it?
Thanks!

Hi Mateus,

at the moment there is no way around that, unfortunately. When you copy formatted text from a web page or email, Notebooks can only accept it as plain text, or as a non editable "webarchive". Editing formatted text has been a weak spot of iOS from the beginning, but chances are that iOS5 will bring some very interesting opportunities for us. So, let's wait and see what this fall will bring ;-)

Best,
Alfons
