Dropbox task sync between iPhone and iPad seems backward

I got Notebooks about a week ago and love it. I've built a complex set of projects and tasks and sync them through Dropbox. I want to drive changes from the iPad and sync them onto the phone. So I make my changes, sync first from the iPad and then from the phone. But I get notified on the phone about files that didn't sync -- virtually always the "NBTasklistDetails.plist" file from where I made change on the iPad. Then if I sync the iPad again, the (incorrect) iPhone file gets imported to the iPad.

In other words, the outdated file overwrites the proper file, relating to task attributes. The only way around it seems to be to make the same changes to both sides, or make them twice to the iPad and sync again.

Any suggestions? Am I missing something?

Thanks...

Hi ronl,

you have touched one of Notebooks' current weak spots here :-(

The fact that Notebooks stores the details of task lists in a single file leads to a conflict when you change the same task list on both devices without syncing in between. We know, this is very limiting, but we have good news: the next update of Notebooks will merge the task details during sync and thus make sure that the lists are always correct and up to date on both devices.

Best,
Alfons
