notebooks crashes when I use password protected notes

amebird, June 16, 2011 21:07

If I unlock protected notes, and close out of Notebooks, I cannot restart it. When I try to start it again, it asks for my pass code then gives me a blank page and a blank list of docs. Today I made an effort to make sure I re-locked the protected items before closing the app, but later in the day when I wanted to use it again, it crashed. The only way out is to delete Notebooks from my multi-tasking bar and completely shut down and restart the iPad. Any fixes for this?

Thank you for your report. We have received one or two similar descriptions, but we have been unable to reproduce this issue, which makes it hard to track down. I have a few questions:

- are you using Notebooks on an iPad?
- and you have the latest version 2.1.3?
- does it make a difference whether the currently opened book/note is protected or not?
- does the current book contain protected and unprotected documents, or is the book or any of its parents protected?
- does it make a difference whether you use portrait or landscape mode?
- do you use column view?

Thank you for any additional info you can provide.

Best,
Alfons

-Yes, notebooks on ipad
-version 2.1.3
-yes, if the current note is protected and I turn off the ipad, I cannot reopen
-the entire book is protected
-either view
-I'm not sure what column view is, I ues notebooks in landscape view with the left side as a list of books or tasks
