Auto-bullet feature gets in the way; can we turn it off from Settings?

In Notebooks 4.1.2, the auto-bullet / auto-number feature gets in my way.

When I use bullets and numbers, I start each item as a new paragraph, with a preceding blank line. With auto-bulleting / auto-numbering, the blank line automatically gets a bullet or number character which I have to backspace over. Also, at the end of the document, I like to put in a final newline -- which gets a bullet that I must backspace over.

It would be great if there were a Settings choice that would allow the automatic behavior to be turned off.

Hi,

there is a very simple "trick": when Notebooks automatically adds a bulled or number, just type another return, without adding text, and Notebooks will remove that bullet again. So you can just type as usual and ignore what NB does in the meantime.

Best,
Alfons

Thanks; that will work for me.

By the way, TextExpander fails at that point. I just entered a new problem report with more details ("TextExpander fails after leaving auto-bullet/number mode").
