2 iPads, 2 Notebooks, 1 syncs & 1 wont

My husband and I both use the Notebook app on our iPads and we share a dropbox account. All of our other apps sync fine but Notebook will only sync on his iPad not mine. I get error 403 and it won't let me enter my password on my iPad. I have deleted and reinstalled dropbox but it stll will not sync my notebook, but it will sync other apps.

Hi,

what you describe sounds like two issues to me, but maybe they are related. Let's see:

1) When you say you cannot enter your Dropbox password, does that mean that the password is refused, or don't you have the option to enter the password? - Usually, when you set up Dropbox sync in Notebooks, you simply enter your DB username and password, they are immediately verified and everything is ok, you are logged in to DB.

2) The error 403 usually indicates an issue with the title of a book or note, as described here: http://helpify.de/notebooks-for-iphone/226/dropbox-error-401-or-403

I am sure we will get this up an running on your iPad, too ;-)

Best,
Alfons

It allows me to enter user name but when curser is in the password box it won't let me type in my password. No letters show up when I type. I can go into my other apps like chapters and log into DB with no problem, it is only in Notebook that I can't. I am wondering if this is because my husband is using the same DB account for his iPad and has his Notebook linked to DB already so it won't let me link a second notebook app (mine)
Thanks,
L

I assume you are referring to the password field on the blue page with the Dropbox icon. - This is strange, because this is provided by Dropbox and usually works without any issues.

Have you already tried restarting Notebooks (by terminating it from the multitasking bar) or restarting the iPad? Does that change anything?

Yes I have restarted notebooks, turned off the iPad and turned it back on. All my other apps work with Drpbox except Notebooks. Notebooks is also the only app that both my husband and I use with dropbox. I am really wondering if because I backed up his notebook first to dropbox that it now won't let me back up a second notebooks app to the same DB account?
