Notebooks for iPhone Answers

Issue - not a question

Just bought the app for iPad yesterday. Thought I would love it. I like using pen over keyboard. Your sketch is plain sheet. So, I created a line paper, made it a photo and bring up new photo To use stylist. In taking notes tonight the application twice crashed and I lost nearly two full pages of notes. Thats a third of the notes I took in an 90 min lecture. Major bummer because this makes it unreasonable to use as a notebook for me. Is there any hope you know of this bug and are on a trail to fix it?

Thank you for your feedback. I am really sorry to hear that you lost your notes!

What you describe is not a known issue, so I do not have a prompt solution. Instead, I would ask if you could send us the crash logs that are automatically created every time an app crashes. Here is where you find them:

When you synchronize your iPad with iTunes, all the crash logs are transferred to your computer. Here are their locations:

• Mac OS X :~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/MobileDevice/
• Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Apple computer\Logs\CrashReporter/
• Windows Vista: C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Apple computer\Logs\CrashReporter/MobileDevice/

The log file names start with Notebooks and have the extension “crash”. They are just plain text files and can be sent by e-mail in original or zipped form.
Please send them to notebooksapp@me.com

Thank you in advance,
Alfons
