Sync fails when creating books within books on iPad

I had Notebooks working perfectly until I recently decided to organize my notes by creating a book within a book and storing notes withing the sub-book. I chaged my notebook structure to this:

Notes (Book)
.. 2010-11 (Book)
.... 2010-11-02 (Note)

When I sync I get the error:

Synchronization failed
Could not move - Error Domain=dropbox.com Code=500 "The operation couldn't be completed. (dropbox.com error 500.)

There's more to the error message, but only inserted the first part above. If I move the note out of the sub-book, it syncs fine. Any thoughts on how to better organize notes? Should I only use one level of books primarily?

Hi,

this is a bit strange, because "error 500" means "the server failed to fulfill an apparently valid request" ... so this seems to be a problem with Dropbox.

The note that you moved out of the sub book, does that contain any special characters like
\ / : ? * < > " |
in its title? These sometimes cause problems with DB.

The number of nested books does not cause any problems, you can structure them as deeply as you wish.
