Notebooks for iPhone Answers

Sharing completely broken on my version of Notebooks for iPad

WiFi sharing does not work (WiFi working, same network, ID info provided, SHARING STILL NOT ENABLED on Books... GAHHHH....)
iTunes sharing doesn't work - I can SEE the Notebooks folder but I cannot ADD anything to the Notebooks folder.... GAHHH.... AGAIN.
What's going on, anyway? This is so broken! (I already complained that Dropbox wasn't working, either)
I *am* reading your help notes and following the steps exactly, but things are not working "as advertised"

Hi, let's see what is wrong with your installation:

1) In order to have "Share This Book" enabled you need to turn ON the "WiFi Sharing" option in Notebooks' settings. You also should immediately set a username and password, but you can do that later, too. Now the "context menu" of all your books will show "Share This Book".

2) iTunes does not allow you to add anything to a folder inside the "File Sharing" pane. You can only add files at the top level. (If you do not like this, please tell Apple about it, there is nothing we can do.) After you have added files through iTunes File Sharing, select "Import from iTunes" from Notebooks' top level book to move them into Notebooks' hierarchy.
By the way, you can add zip archives of folder hierarchies, too, which you can then extract in Notebooks.

If this still does not help, please let us know.

1] WiFi turned on. On same network as laptop, too. Set a username and password. Never saw "Share this book" in the context menu.

2] Thanks for the iTunes tip, I'll try that out. Not sure it'll work for what I have planned (syncing with a Scrivener set of files), but I'm game to try (since neither WiFi or Dropbox works at this point).

OK, here's a big Doh. It wasn't clear to me what the "contextual menu" was (that is, what menu was being referred to... It does NOT mean what you see at the blue arrow... it is located in the top center (which will say "Notebooks", "Help", "My notebook" or whatever, depending on where one is. When I used the CORRECT option, I saw "Sync to Dropbox", "Import from iTunes", etc etc. Sharing is OK, I was just having a problem in understanding. (I am pasting this same "Doh!" to my other complaint. 8)
