Notebooks for iPhone Answers

How do I change the background of my notes from the gray textured to a different background such as lined paper?

When I go to the downloads section it is for small paper like for an iphone screen. I find it had to read notes written in black hard to read on the gray background and can not find a place in the setting or directions in the users manual on how to change this. Please advise.

I woulsd also like to thank you for a great app. The UI is great. The functionality and usefulness is superb. Thank you for a job well done!

One more question, would it be possible in the future to have:
1. an icon on the notes page to change ink colors? Along with a highlighter?

2. A icon to pull in email and pdfs right on the notes page or in the drop down menu? I find myself in need of quick links for these two functions quite often.

Thank you,

Hello Melissa,

thank you very much for your feedback!

Lined paper is the default in Notebooks; so if you turn off custom colors in Notebooks' settings, you will have exactly that. - If you want to change the font color only and still keep the lined paper (of any other pattern), you can download the image from our website. The images for lines are VERY small, and if you open one from our website it will appear at the top left corner. You can zoom up the page, touch&hold the image and save it in your albums. You can then select it in Notebooks' settings as pattern background.

We are about to improve this considerably and enable individual backgrounds for books or even for single notes, but we need to ask you for a little patience.
The option to change ink color from within a note will be part of these improvements.

Regarding the quick links: have you tried Notebooks' "Copy Link" feature? This lets you copy a link to any document or book, and you can paste that directly into your note. Tapping the link will then take you to the original document.

I hope this helps!
Best,
Alfons
