Notebooks for iPhone Answers

When I sync my iPhone with iTunes, are my notes in Notebooks backed up, too?

Every time you sync your iPhone/iPod touch or iPad with iTunes, the contents of Notebooks is backed up as well. Should you ever need to reset or restore the device or if it gets lost and you need to set up a new one, iTunes will restore your books and notes from that backup.

If you want an extra level of security, or if you want to work on your documents from your compter, too, you might consider using any of Notebooks' import and sync methods:

In iTunes... Under File Sharing.... Notebooks is listed... and linked to a folder called Notebooks.
When I try to sync to that folder I get a Warning - Red Stop Sign.
NoteBooks could not be copied because an error occurred. you do not have enough access privileges for this operation.

The notes in this folder are NOT the same as on my iPhone...??
So I don't think my Notebook notes are being backed up !! ??

This is not related to the sync options mentioned in the original post. When you transfer files (or download the whole Notebooks folder) through iTunes File Sharing, please make sure that none of Notebooks' books or notes contain "illegal characters" in their titles. If they do, iTunes is unable to save them to your computer.

Possible to allow user to search a character for document title/name in Notebooks? So that we can quickly identify which are the files had "illegal characters"
