Importing JP text via Wifi sharing

Shion.kono, July 03, 2010 13:54

I have been trying to import a Japanese .txt file from my Mac (OS 10.6.4) to Notebooks for iPad via Wi-Fi sharing, but the text file appears garbled on the iPad. It appears that the Wi-Fi sharing is properly set up (as I have been able to import an HTML or .doc file); but the app does not seem to recognize proper encoding. I also tried saving the text file in different encodings on my Mac but with the same result.

There is a review on the Japanese iTunes app store that reports the same problem, so at least another person is having the same problem ... please help!

I am sorry to hear that you are having problems with the encoding. - Have you tried to save your document with UTF-8 encoding, which would be the recommended encoding? Didn't that work, either? - If it did not, could you send us an example document to notebooksapp@me.com? - Thank you!
