hi
based on what is written here I restored my misbehaving phone and then restored from a backup. all content of notebooks not there!!!

Hi Tom,
usually, a restore brings back all application data, provided they have been backed up before. This is the same for Notebooks. If that restore process fails, it seems to be a problem of iTunes rather than of the app affected.
In your situation I would recommend to restore from backup once again, because sometimes a restore reinstalls all apps, but their contents.
If that still does not bring back your notes, please let us know, and we will send you a guide on how to extract the notes from the backup on your computer. These notes you could then import into Notebooks again.
