Notebooks 5 for iOS

I just discovered this app through the Scrivener forum. It seems perfect for my needs. I looked into the news section and found out there will be soon a release of a version 5 for iOS. My two questions are:

Is this version 5 a universal version?

Is this version 5 a simple free upgrade for people using Notebooks for iPad 2.x (I don't remember what's the current version)? I haven't purchased the app yet, and the reason I am holding off is because I am not sure whether having the current version will allow me to free upgrade or I will have to purchase the new version 5 anyway. In that case I would just wait until its release

Hi,

thank you for your interest in Notebooks, and please excuse the delayed response.

- Notebooks 5 will not be a universal version (iPad and iPhone version require too much individual effort, and we try to keep both versions at a fair price).

- The update to Notebooks 5 will be free for all existing Notebooks users, so if you decide to buy now, you will get the upgrade for free.
