Notebooks for iPhone Answers

I found a bug

Mike Kenfield, December 17, 2011 05:44

I'm a new (day one) user of Notebooks for iPhone and I'm loving it. Between clear, simple, robust features and functions and GREAT manual, in a couple of hours I was able to set up a complex GTD-based system much more to my liking than I've been able to do with Things, Midnight Inbox, or OmniFocus.

But I found a bug. When you take a Note and Convert it to Task List, the Creation Date and Time for the Tasks in the Book are all wacky. In my case, instead of Friday, December 16, 2011 at 11:19 PM the dates in the new notes are Thu, Dec 1, 2022 at 5:05 AM. (BTW, the Creation Date in the parent book is correct.) It happens every time, so I know it's a bug and not operator error.

But again, a GREAT product. I look forward to further enhancements and related products (a Mac version and iCloud syncing perhaps?). But don't mess with the roboust yet simple and highly-adaptable, does-what-you-expect-it-to-do features and functionality. A delightful app.

Dear Mike,

thanks a lot for your feedback. Reading that Notebooks is able to support you better than "dedicated" task management tools is great :-)

Also, thank you for pointing out that bug; although we tested that countless times, this one has escaped (and seems to be related to iOS5...). It is easy to fix and well be solved in the next update.

A Mac version is on its way (you will soon find an official statement on our website), and we will add iCloud support as well. And yes, we try to keep it simple and functional, in fact, we will try to improve an that even more ;-)

Best,
Alfons
