Notebooks for iPhone Answers

Duplicate files on Dropbox Server (every file has an extra .plist file associated with it)

ALL of my Notebook files off my iphone get duplicated on the dropbox server. The duplicate file is a .plist
That's every single file has a duplicate with a .plist behind it. Very frustrating. This isn't a Dropbox issue as when I add a file from my computer there's no duplicate.

How do I prevent this and is there a simple way to get rid of these duplicate .pst files in one fell swoop?

Hi,

these .plist files are Notebooks' so called "system files" where it keeps extra info about the documents. They are useful and even necessary when you sync Notebooks between several devices, but if you use Dropbox for syncing with your computer only, you actually don't need those files. To keep NB from syncing them, just turn off the switch "Sync System Files" in NB's Dropbox settings. (You can then delete the .plist files that are already on Dropbox)

I hope that helps.
Best,
Alfons

Awesome. Thanks for the info. You might include this in your manual section on synching.
